Almost two-thirds of retailers in the UK are planning to expand internationally during 2016, according to a new study.
Published by Royal Mail, the research revealed that 65 per cent of UK businesses are feeling confident enough to consider increasing their international sales over the next 12 months, compared to just 39 per cent last year.
The study also found that 84 per cent of companies plan to target new markets that they aren’t currently selling to, with the US topping the list as the country offering the most expansion opportunities to British businesses.
According to the research, almost half (47 per cent) of those surveyed by Royal Mail suggested they were looking to use direct mail or catalogues as a means of developing their overseas sales opportunities, which allows companies to easily tailor their marketing campaigns to varying cultures from across the globe.
With the help of expert translation services, it’s easy for UK businesses to convert their carefully developed advertising campaigns into international sales. In fact, many businesses will enlist the help of experienced translators to alter their marketing campaigns to suit each individual language, ensuring their advertising is culture-appropriate and targeting the right section of the local population.
Forbes suggests that translation of your marketing strategy is vital to ensuring product readiness before you expand into foreign markets. By localising the product, which includes ensuring the correct translation of the product’s name into each language, the world’s best known business magazine suggests companies can successfully expand abroad without requiring a complete rebrand.
Localisation of a product also requires analysis of the distribution network and market conditions, Forbes went on to say, to ensure business strategy remains integrated with the company’s overall objectives while ensuring sensitivity towards cultural and economic differences.
It’s clear the key to successfully transferring a UK business abroad is an expert translation team, and this is where Bubbles Translation come in.
