At some point in our lives we will have dreamt of speaking one or multiple languages! However, most of the time you realise it too late, when you’re on holiday and you’re trying to decipher what the ingredients are on a restaurant menu. I bet you wish you hadn’t messed around in your foreign language class at school now don’t you?
There are many advantages to being able to converse fluently in a foreign language. For one it can help you enjoy your holiday and secondly it enhances your career profile by making you stand out amongst other candidates. What’s more it could also lead to a bigger salary!
Although English is recognised as the international language of the world, it is never too late to start learning a language and make your life even more rewarding in the long run!
So where to begin? Well, here at Bubbles we were excited to learn that beginning 21st -23rd October the Olympic National Hall in London will host the largest language show for people with an interest in one or several languages.
Whether you’re a beginner, intermediate or advanced language learner, this event will certainly deliver the right resources, support and further information on how to get stuck in! The London Language Live show offers students, professionals, teachers and anyone who wants to expand their knowledge of their chosen language an opportunity to learn through seminars, taster classes and activities. There’s also a career zone for those exploring their employment options.
What’s more if you’re a film buff looking to be transported around the globe then there’s something in it for you too. The World Cinema is an area of the show where you can watch short documentaries and films, from France to China! Foreign language films are an alternative and enjoyable way to learn a language, sometimes in a matter of months. Not only that but you can meet like minded people and learn about their language experiences too.
