About Zumtobel (AC/DC)
The Zumtobel Group is an Austrian company specialising in lighting technology. Zumtobel engages in the development, production and sales of lighting technology and offers lighting solutions, luminaires, lighting management and lighting components for indoor and outdoor applications.
Zumtobel needs to translate a wide range of material into numerous languages, including website content, product information and specifications, newsletters, promotional emails, and brochures.
One of the main translation problems Zumbtobel had before partnering with Bubbles was that the other translation agencies were not been able to correctly implement the appropriate technical terminologies that are specific to the lighting industry.
Bubbles multi-lingual glossary to address concerns related to technical terminology
Bubbles have qualified and experienced translators for all technical fields and thus it was quickly able to set up teams of native-speaking translators for each language.
To ensure that only preferred terminology was used, Bubbles reviewed a vast quantity of approved material that Zumbobel had produced internally in each language and produced a technical multi-lingual glossary of hundreds of most frequently used technical terms.
Approved by Zumtobel’s local representatives, this glossary became the definitive resource to ensure that only the preferred technical phrases were used.
New phrases are continuously added to the glossary, at the end of each new project, to keep it comprehensive and up to date.
Bubbles provide print-ready artwork of translations
Furthermore, although Zumtobel has internal resources to typeset artwork for their printed material it called on Bubbles to not only translate the material in different languages but also create multilingual artwork to relieve the pressures on its internal resources.
Bubbles use original English artwork to create artwork layouts in different languages, including European and non-Latin languages, then adapts the artwork to match the new copy length to produce final print-ready versions for Zumtobel.
