About Epredia
Epredia (formerly known as Thermo Fisher Scientific and Shandon Diagnostics) is a manufacturer of scientific instrumentation, reagents, consumables, software and services for healthcare, life science, public health and academia.
Challenge
Epredia had multiple in-vitro diagnostic data sheets for their range of medical/chemical products used to diagnose cancer.
These incredibly complex data sheets were to be used by medical professionals while handling the products and for regulatory purposes to secure permission to sell the products in different parts of the world.
Specifically, the client service request was:
- A large quantity of highly technical data sheets are translated and localised to the different target languages within a specified period.
- The final output is free from error and formatted appropriately for the different target markets.
- Observe strict adherence to Epredia approval and certification process. The process involves signing certificates at each key stage of a project (translation, proofread, and formatting) to confirm that the quality was 100% perfect.
Solution
In line with the Bubbles’ process for biotechnology translations, we set up a multi-level team of experts to translate, edit and proofread the final product to ensure we met the client’s specifications.
A dedicated quality assurance manager oversaw the project for each target language, checking progress against the client’s requirements and Bubbles quality assurance procedures. At each stage, the manager submitted outputs to Epredia for approval and certification.
The project manager worked with a translator, editor, proofreader and formatting experts with relevant subject matter education and experience. The team used the appropriate translation software tools and techniques to produce timely, accurate, consistent and error-free outputs.
