Website translation project and the innovative Bubbles approach
Bubbles were awarded a project, via a marketing/branding agency, to translate all of Aveva’s online content from English into European and Far-Eastern languages.
Initially, Aveva was looking to provide the English content to Bubbles in Word format and although Bubbles had the capability to translate in this format it did not seem to be an optimal approach for the project in question.
Bubbles team explained to the client that Word format would result in more work for the web content team as the translated text would have to be manually inserted back into the CMS (Content Management System). Not only would this be time-consuming, but there would also be the risk of errors during the process of copying-pasting scripts in different languages, especially in non-Latin scripts such as Japanese and Korean.
Bubbles suggested that a smarter alternative approach was possible.
The suggested solution involved the export of English content from Aveva’s CMS as HTML files, which Bubbles could translate directly as HTML content. The translated HTML content could then be automatically imported back into Aveva’s CMS system, safely and quickly. The trials were carried out between Bubbles and the client’s web content teams to make sure that the plan worked seamlessly.
It did, and the project was carried out successfully without any problems. The innovative, streamlined, and optimal approach of Bubbles translations to Avea’s project saved time and reduced chances of error, ensuring another high-quality translation project completion.
